Hey y’all, I have a gift for you today! It’s quick, easy tutorial for adding a fun holiday flourish to your winter coat. Best of all, this refashion is not permanent (although, you might want to leave it there permanently…it’s pretty cute!)HERE.
It’s hard to tell from the photos, but the sleeves have a fun flourish too. It was windy and freezing cold during the shoot so I left my hands in my pockets most of the time. (A big thanks to my son Gabe for taking my photos! I don’t know what I’d do without him.)
The Magic is In The Fabric!
This project is so simple, but to make it a 15 minute refashion you have to have the right fabric. This chiffon is called chiffon matte jersey, and I bought it here, but I’ve seen it at local fabric stores too. It does not fray, so there is no need to hem it! Bonus, it’s only 3.60 a yard.
So simple right? A little chiffon could dress up so many kinds of coats. If you try it, please send me photos! I’d love to feature your project on the blog.Love this coat? Find it here at boohoo.com! A special disclaimer: I received this coat from boohoo.com in exchange for this post. I get these emails often and I usually politely decline, but when I saw this jacket on their website I JUST HAD TO HAVE IT. It is just as beautiful in person as it is in photos!
