So, my hair is in that weird growing-out-the-pixie stage.
You know what’s getting me through this stage? Hats. But wearing a hat every day can get monotonous. I’ve come up with some creative ways to style my short hair for my fedora wearing
obsession habit, and I thought you’d like to see them too! Obviously these won’t all work for everyone, but I wanted to show you that short hair doesn’t have to disappear under a hat, it can be a rockin’ part of your look!
1. The Blossom
Step 3: Flip brim upwards and pull hat back slightly.
2. The Swoop
I like to wear the swoop when I’m going to the beach or the pool. It’s wind swept on purpose!
Step 2: Pull Bangs out from head and clamp flat iron at the base of the bangs.
Step 3: Rotate flat iron up as you pull it down the bangs.
3. The Side Bang
This one is a no-brainer. It’s also a good one to wear if you’re planning on taking your hat off in front of people.
Step 1: Take your bangs and flip them to the other side. This gives them bounce and volume!
4. The BossThis sleek look is perfect for any occasion! It really shows off your face.
Step 1: Use a bobby pin to hold bangs back.
Step 2: Put hair behind ears.
5. The BobbyThis is a more polished look. It’s also good if you’re planning to take your hat off while you’re out and about.
6. The Faux FringeThis one is my favorite! My bangs are long and sometimes I want them out of my face but I still want the look of a fringe. The only downside, you really really can’t take that hat off until you get home. You’ll see why below…
Step 4: Put hat, smooth out new bangs and hairspray!
