Stepford Dress

Hey y’all! Did you know that The Sewing Rabbit has a Pattern Member program? You sign up to be a pattern member for $10 a month and every month you receive a pdf pattern bundle like magic! How cool is that? With that plus a wine of the month club I could live a happy life forever 🙂

I was lucky enough to test the Stepford Dress pattern, which is part of May’s Pattern Member Bundle, and I have to say it putting it on makes me feel absolutely perfect.

The cut of this dress is so flattering and it shows just enough skin to be sexy but not too sexy to wear to church. The Southern term “church cleavage” applies.

The fabric is a lovely floral linen from Joann Stores, and it sewed like a dream. I know the above picture is awkward but sometimes you have to adjust your boobs and your husband takes the only close up picture that is in focus so, you kind of have to use it…

Aaanyway, go check out the rest of the patterns in the bundle this month! You will not be disappointed.

Also, follow me on Bloglovin, you will not be disappointed 😉

  1. I feel like I need to live just a liiiiitle more in the south. I want to use terms like y’all and church cleavage and fit in.

Dress is gorgeous and so are you! 😉

  2. Lovely dress. I feel you on the awkward pictures that husbands sometimes take, usually when there’s a close up front bodice pic involved. I think they get distracted.

  3. This is so gorgeous on you, Alida! You did such a fabulous job! I love it so much, I’m featuring it in my floral roundup tomorrow. 😉

  4. What a great dress & I love the term “church cleavage.” I’ve never heard it before! In my Ohio church, there no church cleavage at all.

  5. Beautiful dress! And also, I found your blog via a link from another blog, and it confused me for a moment because mine is new and called “Alicia Makes”. Having never seen your blog before, I was like ohhhmygoodness I hope she doesn’t come across mine someday and think I copied the name! Alida and Alicia look very similar when typed out. Anyway! Great blog, and I plan to keep reading. 🙂

  6. Hi Alida! I LOVE your style and you are such a beauty to boot!

Are you by chance making the color block nautical tee anymore?? I want it BADLY!

I love feedback! What did you think of this article?
