Calling All Kids Day 1

True story y’all, when I planned Calling All Kids, I had NO IDEA this was going to be Kids Clothes Week. In fact when I asked Meg (as in the Meg) to participate and she told me KCW was going to be this week I almost postponed it. How can I compete? But then I realized it’s actually kind of perfect. You’re going to be making kids clothes anyway, so you’ll definitely have something to link up on Saturday. (See this post for more info on PRIZES!)

And now for the main event, our 2 guests! First up, Kelly of Sewing In No Man’s Land. She has been a favorite sewing blogger of mine ever since she competed on Project Run and Play. She’s so, so talented, and her blog is full of eye candy. Have you ever been to a blog and felt like every single photo should be framed? Go check her out and see what I mean!

  1. I’d love to try finally some of the famous Ponte di Roma for tees. And some good fun, but durable fabric for shorts would be great too. I kinda decided I have to devote part of my KCW to mending pants of my 2 year old…

  2. Ponte De Roma for sure. I would love to make some shirts for me. I would also love to pick up something from the Anchors Away collection as I just have a love for all things nautical.

  3. Want to try the cotton spandex – fear until now!! Definitely need to get summer things done for my granddaughters (tops, shorts, bathing top to match the mermaid tail I’m working on and the list goes on).

  4. I would buy the Sherbet Feathers on White Cotton Jersey Blend Knit Fabric to make a summer tank top for my daughter and some Red Heather Sparkle Hacci Sweater Knit Fabric to make something for myself.

  5. Awe man, if I won this I’d get lots of fun knits to make t-shirts with. I just bought the Parisian top from Pattern Anthology and I am dying to make it up in a nice ponte with a cutesy collar 🙂

  6. Radiant orchard (the bright purple) knit fabric, its my son’s favorite color and hard to find. I use a lot of solids so maybe some others in bright fun colors. I also like the Ikat knits, fox family, bird silhouette and chevrons! If I win I’m going to have a hard time choosing!

  7. So many great choices! I love the fawn silhouette and bird silhouette (navy on pink!) They would be great for new stretchy leggings for my daughter and maybe some rompers, because it is hot here already!

  8. I would pick the Mint Green Triangle Arrows on Navy Blue Cotton Jersey Blend Knit Fabric and make myself something! or maybe sweatshirt fleece and make the kids those dinosaur hoodies hayley did…

  9. My favorite prints are pink flowers mixed with green, Priscilla line is one of my favorite, but I really love the adorable wee wander line too and I would make something for my almost four princess Anna ^_^

  10. We all need short sleeved tees around here, so I’d stock up on some cool pop colors of ribbing and get some of those fun new prints.

Also, I seriously love this series.

  11. I would love to make a little slip-on dress for my wee granddaughter out of the Bunny Rabbit Silhouette on the Lichen Green knit. She would look adorable in it and I just love the bunnies!

  12. Oooh, I love the Kensington Dress in stripes! I would make one for my 8yo out of the 1/2 inch purple and grey heathered stripes from Girl Charlee.

  13. I love this Green Chevron Cotton Jersey and I would make jumpsuits for friend and family new little ones and maybe a something for the new mothers and me and a matching sett of t-shirt for me and my little sister, cupcake top for her and platinan for me. The jacket is so sweat to and I think my sister would really like it in a beautiful print. as you see the plans are endless.

  14. I love the fawn silhouette! Really hoping to do some more experimenting with knit fabrics. I’m thinking I would make a self-drafted dress or top for my little cousin. Thanks for the opportunity to win! Love this series!

  15. I would love to pick up some of the feathers fabric. It always seems to be out of stock when I order fabric from there!

I love feedback! What did you think of this article?
