Straight Lines and Angles

Green Triangle Pants Pattern by See Kate Sew

Hey y’all! Today I’m part of a really awesome series on If Only They Would Nap called “Straight Lines and Angles.” As you’ve probably guessed, it’s all about geometric fashion, my favorite! Since it’s St. Patrick’s day, I feel it’s my duty to show you something green. Wouldn’t want Ellie to get cyber-pinched!

I decided to make Ellie some Triangle Pants (pattern by See Kate Sew can be found HERE.) I’ve been DYING to make these ever since I first laid eyes on them, and the pattern did not disappoint!

triangle pants pockets  These are Ellie’s favorite pants now. She’s obsessed with pockets and these have the best pockets! Sorry they are not really pressed for the pictures. They’ve already been worn and washed several times. And they have purple marker on them because she put PERMANENT markers in her pocket WITHOUT THE CAPS ON. *Facepalm*

This beautiful spaceship fabric is Kikorakko Space Travel and came from Imagine Gnats shop. Her shop is full of gorgeous fabric! She was nice enough to send me this for free, thanks Rachael!

The pocket fabric is Modern Meadow Herringbone Pond by Joel Dewberry. It’s….geometric right?

The gold polkadot knit was a gift from Stef from Girl.Inspired. Best Christmas gift ever! Circles don’t really fall into the category of “straight lines and angles” but hey, what can I say? I live on the edge.trianglepants5

The shirt is also a See Kate Sew pattern, the Recess Raglan. You may remember it from this post.

  1. Oh man I love this look. My daughter is a little “tomboy” herself and I have to get that pattern for her. Love the hair and your fabric choices is so cool!
