Casual Lady Pattern by Go To Patterns

Today I’m sharing this awesome shirt I made for a great cause.  Andrea from Go To Patterns has created a pattern for a beautiful casual tunic called the Casual Lady.  Here is the info about it from her website:
This pattern was designed especially to raise funds and awareness for global sex trafficking victims. Proceeds from this pattern will fund a Sewing Collective in India for single mothers escaping the sex trade industry as well as a safe house for children in Cambodia at risk of being trafficked. We hope you enjoy and share so we are able to fully fund our projects. We are hoping to raise $15000.
Awesome right?  I decided that my Casual Lady needed to be extra special, so I created a pattern on the fabric with fabric sharpies:
It took about 2 hours and 3 fabric sharpies to create this pattern, but I love it.  When I got the shirt done I rushed to the closest mirror to take an Instagram pic…it’s still my favorite pic of the top.
I can’t wait to make more.  Next time I’m thinking DRESS!
Check out the Casual Lady pattern HERE, and help end sex trafficking!

  1. What a great top& a really really really awesome cause. It’s something that us in the States don’t even think about, but for many other countries it’s a sad reality. My heart goes out to those affected by it. Thanks so much for spotlighting this!

  2. What patience you have! I love the Sharpie fabric markers they are definitely my go to fabric decorating tool! This pattern is so great for personalizing and I love what you’ve done with yours.

I love feedback! What did you think of this article?
