Giving Thanks

We had a GREAT Thanksgiving.

First of all, I gave thanks for my family.  These four healthy children are the light of my life.

I gave thanks for my sisters.  I gave thanks for my nephews (my sister is cooking boy #4, bless her!)

I gave thanks for my husband.  He puts up with a lot.

I give thanks for whatever was going on when this picture was taking because it’s pretty hilarious.

These girls.  I know some day they will be hormonal teenagers, so right now I’m trying to give thanks for all the crying, whining, and general DRAMA that goes on in our house.

I was also thankful for my in-laws, who take such good care of us always.

Finally, in my heart I was thankful for each of you who read my blog.  It may not be the biggest, the flashiest, the prettiest or the most trendy blog on the block but it’s my little corner of the internet and I love each and every one of you for letting me into your lives.

  1. Hi, Alida. We don’t have Thanksgiving in NZ, and our seasons are opposite so have never been really sure what it’s about. Was it the Puritans surviving the first Winter?
Anyway, like many others I am thankful to read your blog, and I do enjoy seeing a craft blog that doesn’t rely on expensive gadgets and materials.
Today I grateful for my son, 11 on 27th Nov and daughter who will be 5 on the 29th Nov, (quite fond of other son too- just not a November child- maybe doubly grateful on reflection!)
    Keep on inspiring us.

I love feedback! What did you think of this article?
