Free Quilt Tutorial from Luvinthemommyhood!

Confession time: quilting has always terrified me.  It seems so…precise.  It seems so…time consuming.  It’s scary!  I have made exactly two quilts in my life, this one and this one. Neither are very adventurous.

So when my friend Shannon from Luvinthemommyhood announced her new Bella Collage Quilt Tutorial I got super excited!
An opportunity to make a real quilt, and an excuse to buy some beautiful fabric yardage.  How gorgeous is her version? I read through the tutorial and it seems like a great beginner quilt.  Now to pick some fabric!

This is my most recent fabric crush, Tsuru by Rashida Coleman Hale.  I seriously love every single thing she creates.  I think if I knew her in real life we would be bffs 🙂

Do you have any fabric crushes lately?  What would you make your Bella Collage quilt out of?

  1. I’ve been meaning to make a quilt for a while now. I bought a ton of cute fabric last Black Friday and havnen’t used it yet. Shame on me. Although, I’m not sure it’s the right fabric for the job. Do you recommend a type of fabric for quilting?

Also, I wanted to mention that I stumbled on your blog from a pin on Pinterest. However, the pin did not take me to the tutorial it described and rather brought me to just the general blog link. While I’ve been enjoying the posts I’ve seen, I’ve spent the past hour and half getting distracted by lovely things and still haven’t found the post I initially was looking for from Pinterest. Could you maybe pin specific posts in the future?

I love feedback! What did you think of this article?
